im doing some water testing now

My female bette isnt swimming right. She is very floppy. She tries to swim down but immediately floats up to the top and tips to her side.

All other fish seem fine.

please help

Does she seem bloated? Has she been eating normally? Does she have any fuzz on her? Any open wounds? Is she breathing heavily? Are her scales raised?

I agree - sounds like an issue with her swim bladder. If she's bloated and her scales are _not_ raised, I would suggest not feeding her for a day or two and then if she isn't any better try feeding her a cooked de-shelled pea.

If that doesn't fix it (and she doesn't have any of the other symptoms listed, my guess would be a potential internal bacterial infection that's affecting her swim bladder...

I hope this helps! Good Luck! :good:

my betta was doing that this morning - the exact same thing. i came home and he was fine  . good luck.
