All my tattoos are coloured. Especially my very large red dragon. I can only assume it's due to the ink type used. If it's the same ink as I have had used on me before though........well.....seems my little chap is leaving an impression on more then just my mind.

Lemon juice provides the acid to break down the leaves and release the dye. Some essential oils such as tea tree oil and lavender help produce a darker stain. The part of the body also plays a role on how dark the henna will turn out to be as well...thicker skin (such as palms and soles of the feet) will dye much darker than thinner skin, which is why it's darn near impossible to get a good stain in areas such as the face.
