For those of you who didn't read my first plea for help, my first Betta, Tyson, first contracted white spot a few weeks ago - which I treated, and defeated. After that, and still present, he has fin rot(which I assume he had during his time in the LFS) - I had not noticed the fin rot, as his blue is quite light therefore I never noticed the greying of the fins. After starting treatment for this, he seemed to perk up a bit and started eating again. Now, he's all gloomy and just sitting at the surface of the water and peering out his tank like before again. AND I've started to notice the white spots on him again. He's in a hospital tank, and has been since the white spot was first noticed, which has perfect water stats. Has hiding places, and obviously I can't change the water at the moment as he's being treated, but I've been removing uneaten food etc. A water change is due tomorrow, then I plan to re-treat him. Can I treat him with whitespot treatment at the same time?

Anyone have any ideas? He just seems to be going up and down with his health! Is this why we're warned to stay away from pet shop fish? I've just lost my other Betta to an unknown cause, and I'm dreading it happening to Tyson due to him being my first Betta and I've grown quite attatched. But, really, I'm totally stuck for what to do.

Can you post the type of medications and the company they are made by on here?

As for treating ich, try turning the temperature up to 80F degrees. This will help clear up ich more quickly. Also be sure to keep his water temperature constant.

Best of luck!! :good:

For the fin rot - Interpret Aquarium Treatment 8; Fungus & Fin rot (I do have melafix now, but was advised not to use it during this treatment since I had started using something different)
