My male CT which I have had for about 3 weeks has odd white things on his tail. The tips of his tail are white and this is the only place they are white. I was away for about 4 days ad my mom was feeding him but I don't know how long the tips of his tail have been white. Is this something that needs medicine and what medicine do I need?

How can it be body fungus when it's on the tip of it's tail  sounds more like finrot :) People from the US should be able to advise treatments ;)

Small white dots are a indication of body fungus. Maracyn-Two. Its a Antibiotic that covers a brod spectrum of bacterial infections its also used for finrot.

Another treatment i forgot to post is a empsom sall bath. You add about a tps to 5 gallons of water.

Small white dots? He is referring to the white ends to his CT's fins. This leads to be finrot. If the finrot gets to thebody and still nothing is done, it MAY turn into body rot if not caught. But white specks on the body and fins could mean Ich - Whitespot :)
