My female imported betta has some gill problems along with nipped fins but i'm more concerned about the gill. I've had her for several weeks, the flared gill just happened recently.
It's her left gill, and it just stays opened, as if one side is "flaired" all the time.
This poped up yesterday and I am treating it with the blue stuff (a betta remedy in the shape of a fish) and aquarium salt.
She seems to act the same (not lethargic),maybe not as energetic as my boy but lively.
Changed the water 75% two nights ago and about 50% earlier this week.
When i received her in the mail she had a white bearded thing growing that was cured by the blue meds in the plastic bottle in the shape of a fish. She was treated for that for about 5 days.
Any good suggestions?
She also has nipped fins (she nipped them i think in transport and then when i had the old divider the male snuck over and tried to pursue her. He nipped her fins. They look like they are healing from the salt, but i'm not sure if there is anything else i can do for her:
