Betta Food

As above...we used Betta Bio and also Attisons Betta Pro and we give live food once a week :good:

Its good to hear from the experts as I was wondering about a specialist food. I have found my bettas love frozen bloodworm, but I only give it 2-3 times a week, Im not sure if its good for bettas or what.

I know a lot of people like the Hikari Gold, but I feed:

Mon., Wed., Fri. - New Life Spectrum Small Fish Formula. An EXCELLENT food, IMO, that is hormone free & has garlic in it. The pellets in the Small Fish Formula are so small they float for quite a while rather than sinking right away like the larger formulas do (which is what I feed my cichlids).

Tues., Thurs., Sat. - Golden Pearls (500=800 micron). Another excellent food, IMO, with high protein.

Sunday they fast.

I also give them an occasional treat of frozen brine shrimp, but not TOO much.

Fish foods - for ALL fish & not just bettas - are a personal choice thing with half a zillion different opinions.

Hope that helps and doesn't confuse the issue any for you! :D

I always feed my bettas on Atisons Betta Pro, i have found that i get the best out of my fish with this food, more so than any others on the market

me too and the small pelet size is good to start youngesters on, having to crush larger brand pelets for 3 month old fishes is a pain
