i'm just wondering what kind of food/brand you are currently feeding your bettas . . .

and what do you occasionally feed them as a "treat"

what are the benefits and such

TIA(thanks in advance)

:good:

Hi i feed mine, flake, betta pellets and frozen bloodworm. The benefits is that the pellets are small and flake gives them soemthign different to eat and bloodworm as a treat once- twice a week :good:

I feed mine Wardley's Essentials Betta Pellets and Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets. Then I feed him freeze-dried blood worms as a treat. However, he stopped liking the Wardley's pellets for some reason and will only eat the Betta Buffet and the blood worms! Silly little fish.

at the moment, i'm using Hikari Betta Bio-Gold . . .

pretty sure it's typical, but i use hikari brand for my other fishes as well . . .

i'm sure there are better brands than Hikari, but i'm not gonna go out and buy products that cost a limb to purchase . . .

anything a bit better in your opinion?

I've heard that Hikari products are among the best.. I'm thinking of getting the Hikari Bio-Gold to replace the Wardley's that my fish doesn't eat anymore. I can't think of anything that I've heard that was better, unless you're interested in getting live food for your fish. I think most LFS carry live worms and stuff bettas like.

oh really? haha! awesome! i'm pretty sure i'll stick with Hikari til DOHC & VTEC get tired of it . . . :shifty:

i was just bringing stuff up to make the topic a bit more "lively"

I use Atisons Betta Pro, blood worm, white worm, brine shrimp, occasionally Krill and daphinia

Bloodworms in jelly and freeze dried daphina. For my other 'non-breeding' betta the same again, but with Tetra pro colour biscuits

I feed my betta, pellets and the occasional mosquito larvae since it's what he would've eaten if he was in the wild. I make sure i get them from clean and disease free waters. It's also fun seeing him swim around trying to get it.

my crown tail loves Hikari Betta bio-gold plus some live 1-2 times a week

Hikari Betta-Bio-Gold here too. Frozen daphnia for treats and he steals the JML catfish pellets I feed the corys on too.

Mark

tetra min flake food, bloodworms, daphnia and brineshrip all on random occations (obviously i only feed the frozen food once or twice a week.)
