It's not really urgant but i need some advice. ive just bought a betta from my lfs to go in my community but some of my tetras are nipping him its not much just now and again should i be worried or is it just because hes new in the tank?! thanks please reply ASAP!

What sort of tetras do you have? There are a lot of fish that with nip betta's fins given half a chance (one of the many reasons why male bettas don't make very good community fish), once the agression starts it usually doesn't stop, you should separate the betta from the tetras imediately.

Take the betta out and get him his own tank.
Although it's possible sometimes, male bettas (and some females) really do not make a good addition to a community tank either b/c of the betta themselves or b/c of the other tank mates.

In your case, it's the other tank mates that are going to pick on the betta until the poor fella isn't going to have any fins left.
Seperate the betta ASAP. Take him back if you don't have another tank, or don't have enough money to get him his own tank (preferably something 2gals and over).
