my 2 bettas did it like 4 days ago..

still no eggs..

im guessing they all infertile or something..

this is their first spawn.. took em like 400 embraces to start gettin eggs to come out..

i guess they jus didnt do it right..

ill have to clean the tank again and go for another round with a different male i guess.

.. i guess fungus could have got all the eggs who knows..

but im guessing that ill have to try again soon

mine only took about 30 hrs to hatch, and the eggs come out straight away, do u really kno wat ur doing with these bettas? if not i suggest u read up a lot about them there is quite a bit u have to do to ensure u will get a good bunch of fry, eg. feed ur breeding pair meat foods for 1 to 2 weeks, and they need to be old enough, since its their first time they are proberly just inexpierienced, mine didnt spawn for two times only just last weekend i got a succesful spawning with these pair :)

yea i know what im doing..

it took them forever to finally drop the eggs... like 400 embraces..

so im guessing it was inexperience..

should i try the same male and female?

or try 2 diff ones?

or keep the male ? or the female ?

any ideas?

none of my bettas have bred before

i would try again with the same pair in 5 days, unless either one of them looks sick or has shreaded fins, then i wouldnt, i would wait till they healed up first

goodluck i thought u were saying u were waiting for the bettas to lay eggs hehe that would be a funny site

sometimes it just doesnt work out between the two. ive had my share of those... but it takes the eggs about a day to hatch.
i recently had a female who was eggbound when i tried to spawn her. is your female really fat in the belly? she may have what mine did.

the female did have eggs and did drop em.. and there were some in the nest..

but i guess everything didnt go well..

she does have a little nip on her... kinda whitey hangin off her..

its not fungus, its like a scab, seen em get it before... but i put in salt.. and she should be fine now , but im gonna let her chill for awhile before i try to breed her again... i have a blue double tail thats barred up, but not super fat yet, so maybe this weekend i will try her.. ill fatten her up good b4 this weekend.. but i think ill try a different male too
