Betta Digging In Gravel

Romeo loves nosing around in the gravel. Is that normal or not?

One of mine does that a lot, think he's trying to rescape his tank!

My VT male loves rummaging for food on the bottom like my cories So that's why I feed him bottom feeder pellets every other day so he when he's looking around on the bottom

Saw Him grab a whole pellet before it touched the bottom and swam away with it lol

My females grab the wafers I put in for my corys & swim around the tank with them

Lol, Romeo is about an inch long and I am afraid of him hurting himself. Thank God I put in smooth pebbles instead of rough rocks.
