Ok, my betta died today and had what I assume is a pretty good run for a betta at 3 years. He had plenty of times where he should of died from ick, tail rot, or other things but he made it up until apparently last night. Anyway I wasn't too attached to that one because all he did was sit on the bottom and stare at me since he was in a 1 gallon on my work desk.
Anyway I'm thinking about replacing him with a crown tail but I'm wondering if any of the other types of bettas would be worth looking at. I wanted something other than the basic veil tail and I know there are several different tail types. I tried searching around the forums but I'm not sure what would be preferred to the common one you just find in Wal-mart (which is where I got my first one).

I'm sure, in a way, you're upset to have a fishy friend die after 3 good years.
