Betta dance

No, it's not the typical swim back-and-forth "feed me!" dance... One of my males, after being fed, sometimes clamps his pectoral fins to his body and squirms around like a snake
It looks like he's doing a little happy dance, like "yay, I got some pellets!" He's my only betta who does this. How about you guys? Do you have any bettas that dance, clamped pectoral fins and all, or do I have a prima ballerina on my hands?

Drac does his Happy Fishie Dance everytime I go near him. The little bugger flares and acts like a car in traffic- forward, STOP, forward, STOP!- then wiggles and yaps at me. Cutest little face on him. Mr Betta (my dad's red Betta) has an even more adorable puppy face, he looks like a younger version of Drac.

Athens does another dance, more like a Fishie War Dance or Fishie Dance of D00m. When I go near him, he MOTORS towards the tank wall I'm closest too, nearly bashes his nose, then wiggles up and down, puffing, flaring, barkings and waving.

Nightingale struts when I go near him, and the girls wiggle and squirm so much they swim through each others fins. Bettas are so adorable

Winston comes to the glass and does this left/right left right FEEDING TIME DANCE when I come close to him. After awhile when I don't feed him, he give me this puppy face WHERE IS MY FOOD LOOK.

Needless to say, Winston is a tad overweight, but it is so hard to put him on a diet.

Well, I am giving out my 8 adult mostly halfmoons to the 4 people who donating money to the tsunami victims. Each got total 4 bettas from me.

I know exactly what "worm" dance you are talking about. One of my bettas does that too, but only sometimes. I never particularly liked it... I sorta thought he was in pain, or something, like a pellet went down the wrong way... but I really don't know how I came to that conclusion! He's never been sick or anything, either.

Glad to hear my betta isn't the only freak!
