Why are you suprised? Most people don't think fish matter. Why else do chain stores (petsmart,petco,walmart, etc) keep bettas is tiny cups 1/2 full with water. At least the ad says for one betta.

Oh my god.

I've seen worse but not by much.

It really really sucks that these are so cheap. My LFS sells them, because some people insist on them, but they make them even more expensive than a gallon bowl. Offered a gallon bowl for $30 or a tiny cup for $40 most people thankfully opt for the bowl.

Click on the bit on their site that says leave feedback if your really concerned. then you can tell them the wrongs of the cup. I have, doubt they'll take any notice but it made me feel better telling them what I thought.

That is shocking, i know they sell them in cups and that is bad enough, but this product is meant for keeping them in, surly they don't last long living like that and i bet the sort of people who would buy it would not care anyway. Rubbish.

i told them as well. they have to live in a cup at the store, but now at home 2?? madness i tell u, absolute madness. no fish deserves 2 B treated this way.
