how meny betta's could i keep in a 33 gallon tank females that is

remember, not all females will get along. they're still fighting fish. my CT had to be removed from my tank with three other girls because they were always picking on her and she'd just go hide. the three are now getting on quite nicely but not all of them will get along.

but remember, an all female tank has to be heavily planted/decorated so if they feel like they need to hide, they can.
i'm thinking around 20-25 girls? i know in a 10g you can keep up to 8.

i dont know what types as they are not stocked mutch aroud ipswich i know one place  and thas all and dont know if they actually sell or if they just 4 show fingers crossed and i think their vail tales or suttin like dat

Pfff Ipswich may as well go jump for decent fish. :shout: I used to live over there many years ago.
I have a 44g for my girls and they share with cories, petricolas, a decorus and my LDA31. I think I have about 20 girls in there. It's very heavily planted and filtrated, before anyone decides to yell at the tankload. They have lived together a long time. I have also found that adding a particularly wayward female (read naughty/bad tempered) to the large group sorts her out in no time. One girl from my Xmas spawn joined them at just 3 months old, having eaten half her siblings and all the males damnit! (This was at a younger age even then this, she was seperated into her own tank for a month.) I expected trouble when adding her to the adults but she loved it. She's still pretty aggressive at times but they put her in her place quick enough. :good: And at bedtimes they all cuddle up in their massive floating plant palace like a bunch of colourful sardines.
Best of luck with them and if at a loss for females I know places out my way that sell them.

P.S:This is Minx, the v.naughty girl! Showing off to her then neighbour Marbles (male VT)
