Betta Building Nests

Hi i woke up today after conditioning my male betta for 2 days he is making his nest by the looks of it its 1 cm deep
2" long and 1" wide he looks so proud and hes constantly building

How long on avarage does it take a female betta to swell with eggs as i think he may be ready to well .................

Shes been conditioning sinse yesterday (i know its not a over night thing) they r being fed on high quality bld worm flake n shelled peas if this info helps

I just wont to know in case he gets bored of waiting lol

And has anyone got a pic of a egg filled female betta so i dont muddle up egg swollen and fat from feeding thanks

Also his bubble nest is tiny to some i have seen will he make it bigger?

At this point your shouldn't be bothered how big his nest is.
Is he in his spawning tank already???
Where is the female??

And bettas will build some big bubble nests if they are happy. My boy Ice built me one that is really thick, and i am not even conditioning him for breeding. Be glad that he is building as it means he is a happy guy

I'm going to keep following you on your breeding attempt as eventually i would like to get Flare a lady I think with the perfect female, I could get some pretty crowntail babies.

I wouldnt mind him building his nest but he does seem happier and more active in the betta box should i keep him in ther for his life ?

He is alot happyier in it compared to when he was in his big tank his colour have increased a little aswell

hes not at the moment but im re arrangeing tanks today when i get some spare tights from my sister to blug up the filter holes in my main comunity tank so my platy fry dont get sucked in altho lastime i tried they where smaller so they will prob be fine

(they are fine with larger fish as they already live with another male fighter)

just gonna wait till i get those tights lol

I wouldn't put him in his spawning tank until they are conditioned.
My male and female move to the spawning tank on the same day.

the male is added first then the female 1 hour later, but in her bottle.

The next day is when I release her if I think they are ready
