We have lift off!!! They are currently spawning as I type. The only thing is the female tends to be picking up the eggs after the male decides to let them drop...

Placing them in the nest... It looks like she was showing the male what to do though they are both placing them in the nest now.

I'm on my phone because I'm sat next to the tank.

Exciting isnt it, my pair that spawned on Saturday didn't get the hang of it for a good few hours, the male was eating the eggs at first but eventually both were putting them in the nest.

Keep us updated :)

yeh same with my male and female they ate the eggs for about 5 -10 mins got really fat and then they both started to place them in the nest :)

I have pictures of the both parents on another thread. I'll post them here later on. I have suspicions that either they ate the eggs or they aren't fertilized as I can only see 3 eggs and they are white... Plus his bubble nest is scattered across the top of the tank. I've had to help him rebuild his nest and he is tending it very well and not leaving it but I can only see 3 white eggs. The female is still in the tank as she is staying away from the nest and he is leaving her alone. I only left her there as I had to leave before they were finished so I left my mum in charge... Do you think they'll spawn again if there are no fertilized eggs as they are still being fed on Bloodworm...

I have babies!! Dad is a brilliant parent and is looking after them, mum has been removed back to her tank of females and is the boss again and I have Baby Betta's!
