Hi everyone. :)

Well, I've decided to try breeding bettas. This is my first time breeding them, so I don't know what really to expect. I conditioned the pair for two weeks and introduced them into the breeding tank yesterday. They're both separated by a glass divider. The male flared at the female and tried to attack her at first, but he settled down within a few hours. They've been in the tank a little over 24 hours, but the male has not built a bubble nest yet. :/ I added a Styrofoam cup in the far right corner and he stays under it most of the time. He blows a few bubbles, approaches the female, wiggles his body and goes back to his corner to see if she followed him.

Since this is my first time trying to breed them, I'm not sure what to do next. Should I release the female or wait until the male builds his bubble nest?
