Hi,

my Betta's are breeding but when he embraces her thay both float there in a trance and the eggs all fall to the bottom
will he pick them up later and put them in the nest?

thanks,

I dont want to sound mean but you really should of researched all this before you introduced the female to the male.

But to answer your question yes its normal and he should collect the eggs and place them in the bubble nest.

I have to agree, if you thought this wasn't normal then to me you haven't researched, breeding bettas require loads of research and effort

I have researched but what I have read says that he sucks them up when they are falling through the water,
Not that he lets them fall to the bottom the gets them later.

Most male pick them up from the bottom, you will get the odd 1 thats quick enough to grab them whilst there falling, but with there fins being bred longer this is alot less common

Well he did pick up the eggs,
and i've taken the female out, the eggs seem to have disappeared so im not sure if he has moved them or eaten them,
