wouldn't it be too salty. I'm not an expert at all, that's just what I thought. Can you get rid of the salt.
My sister said that tropical fish are more susceptable to salt than other fish.
try getting some java moss or a floating plant maybe a lilly or something, its best to get these plants from ur lfs, cause if u added a salty plant like sea weed to the tank it would make the hardness too high for the fish to handle
what do you mean by susceptible to salt? they are actually more tolerant of salt. i wouldnt put seaweed in there. there are plenty of plants at pet stores that would be fine.
oops i had a typo-i meant to put wouldnt not would.
umm tropical fish are fresh water and salt water tropical fish r salt water, so i think it would be best not to use sea weed unless u wash the hell out of it, i may be wrong but its better to be safe than sorri ay
Thanks I thought it sounded kind of funny a friend of mine used it in her betta tanks it hasn't hurt her fish and they seem to be making bubble nests and stuff but I just have never seen any one on the forum say any thing about it. She does wash it very well before she puts it in there. I think I will just get some kind of floting plant. I would rather be safe than sorry. Does any one have any sugestions on what worked good for you?
