Hiya, Im thinking of buying a Betta for my 3/4G tank (not sure) or if I buy it, a 7G...I have been told that it would be better in a 7G but also heard my current 3-4G is better cos they prefer smaller spaces? This is the 7G - http://www.petsathome.com/invt/15509
They look as if they need a lot of space but is it true that they do well in smaller tanks?
Also are they quite common to come across as I havent seen any in our LFS...I live in the Midlands, UK.

Cheers!

3-4g is superb and 7g in even better, were do you live in the midlands because i also live there.I could tell you some shops to get them from :good:

Thanks for that, so would the 7 be better or the 3-4? ...because of the space they require..?
And I live in Nuneaton, near Coventry :)

ohh i live no were near coventry lol.Go on kg bettas. He has top quality ones on there. There more money but worth it.I would personaly go for the 4g so i can have 2 tanks :d:D:D

Cheers for that! Looks quite good.
Gonna have another look in LFS and Pets At Home to see if they have them, and I think theres another pet store nearby, near Hinckley.

A5 Have had the Azoo Palm Nano Complete Setups recently and they are Excellent. for under 30Quid.

Is it a 3/4 gal or are you not sure whether its a 3 gal or a 4 gal?

Yes, bettas can live in small spaces...but like all fish they would like a larger tank

Would you rather live in a one bedroom apartment or a house? :)

I would get the 7 gal if I were you

Forgot about A5!! Cheers Gill! :good:

And im not sure if its 3 or 4, closer to 4 I think. I may just go for the 7 Gal, and its glass aswell :)

If you go for the 7 gal you can divide it in half and have 2! :D 3.5 gal each is plenty! :good:

The 18x10x10 is listed as a 28 litre tank if that helps? I have a betta in one at the moment and he loves it! Bubble nesting everywhere.

Cheers.
I think the 28L 18x10x10 is on the shopping list then! I think it may be best to buy the Betta first, as I need to be sure I can get one! Also, can you recommend me a heater?

Thanks!

7watt mini hydro heater has always been gihly recommended. I could not get hold of one so have a 25watt in mine at the moment which I will replace when I can find a 7Watt :)
