Betta And Ram

Got a siamese fighter and a blue ram who seem to think they are a breeding pair
Anybody else seen this happen?

Well we used to have a female betta in with a male blue ram. They always swam together.
Now that the betta has died, all the ram does is hide now.. poor lil guy.

So *shrugs* fish will find companionship where they can I guess
