I have a three and half inch Pleco in a 10 gallon. How do I know when to move him to a larger tank? Can I get any more fish for the tank that he is in now or will that be unwise? I have a Betta in another bowl. Could I move the Betta with the Pleco?

Any advice on this topic would be appreciated.

what type of pleco is it
and yh bettas and plecos can live together but i think the pleco needs to go in another tank as soon as u can

I'm not sure. Hes really dark. A huge fin. I put the Betta in. There seems be enough room for them both. there is a little current from the filter but less of a current on the opposite side of the filter. How will I know if the Betta is stressed?

Hi megyorg :)

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

The first thing I would suggest you do is to post a picture in this section so the members there can help you identify the kind of pleco you have. What you should feed it will depend on what it is, and they can help you with that too.

Plecos are usually big eaters and can be big waste producers. Even a bristlenose, which is a small one, will eat a lot of vegetables so this might effect the water quality in a small tank. Until you can identify the pleco it would have been best to keep the betta where it was.
