is it okay to keep a male betta with a pletco?

He is a crowntail male that doesn't seem aggressive.

Hi two things its spelt pleco no "t" and 2nd yeh why not mine are :) in fact i have a bn a leopard pleco and a whiptail pleco with my bettas they are perfectly fine :)

Yeh ur betta proberly wont i cant say for certain but most likely not :)

Yes and no with the pleco cleaning it will clean algae not alot but it will but heres the kicker the more they eat the more they deficate, the more they deficate the more algae grows its a big cycle im afraid :)

With your spelling it dont matter we all miss spell words its what makes us human :)

Yeah, they will eat a variety of foods including algae, algae wafers, cucumber, and other veggies. They cannot stay perfectly healthy on a diet of algae IMO

I believe that no Plecos are suitable for a 10 gallon tank, if you were planning to keep it in their,
Yeh i cant see sigs or anything so i dont know what sized tank its in :p the best thing that looks like a loach that will be good there is a hillstream loach but they prefer cooler waters so its basicly a loose loose and especaly as that plec looks like a leopard or another type that grows big :)

I would like to add to this list of foods bloodworm people think they are herbivours but plecos are omnivours so they eat meat also feed them bloodworm about once or twice a week

Also fishy its not just ur opinion we all think that :p

If you want to keep a cleaning fish in with your betta, get one that stays small and actually does clean a lot, such as an Otocinclus. They should be kept in groups of at least 3 though, but you should be able to fit at least that in a 10 gallon.

I think Bristlenose Pleco can be ok in a 10 gal, but I'm not 100% sure. I was told by some other members that they'd probably do ok since they were on the smaller side. :)

Otos are probably the better choice though!
