i was reading on a poll on this forum that you could put cories and a betta together. is that true? my betta tanks are a bit towards to cooler end of the betta temperature spectrum so if you can put bettas and cories together, which cories prefer their water a bit cooler?

I have 5 females and 3 corys (was 4, 1 died in a filter accident), no issues at all. Sometimes a female will even shoal with them.

sweet! i don't think i'll put any in with pacific - he's quite vicious even at his own reflection. he scared my poor shadow out of his mind when there was a divider between them so i seperated them completley. shadow'll be in a heavy planted tank as soon as i get the plants. what kind of cories don't mind cooler water - around 71-72F and wouldn't mind a pink betta in with them? i like the schwartz's coradoras...my band director's name is mr. schwartz. would they do well in there? if not how about pandas?

shadow runs from it. i really, really don't want to risk the cories by putting them in there.

My betta's name was Shadow as well. Well Shadowfax after the white arab horse in Lord of the Rings, but he only ever got called Shadow.

Its a name that suits them so much.

mine's shadow because he's scared of his own shadow. . so would schwartz's or pandas work?

Panadas look cuter IMO :p that or peppered... I like pepper  mmmmmmmmmm pepper in soup... wha.? Oh sorry bit off topic... but ya Panadas more than schwarts :D

What size tank is this? If it's a ten gallon or more, I would say pandas. If it's a five gallon, I'd say pygmy cories. Anything less than five, cories won't work.
