betta and barbs

i have just added 6 tiger bards into my tank and i was wondering if it would be ok to keep bettas with them?


also how do you pronounce betta? is it said beater?

Only if you don't mind the Betta's fins being torn to shreds. Tigers are notorious for fin nipping.
