Hi,

Tried psoting this on the betta forum but it won't let me....any idea why?

Anyway my betta for the last day or so has not moved from top front corner of my tank (apart from to eat). Last time I checked my levels was 2 days ago and bothammonia and nitrite were and there was a trace of nitrate. I have 3other fish in the same tank and they're acting normal so I don't think it's a water problem.....any suggestions on what might be wrong would be much appreciated.

It very well could be the other fish in the tank. If he is still eating normally he probably isn't sick. Some bettas just don't feel comfortable with other fish.

You said you checked both ammonia and nitirite, and there was a trace of nitrAte correct? There should be nitrAte present in a fully cycled tank but no ammonia or nitrIte. How long has the tank been cycled? How big is it, and what kinds, and how many fish do you have in it?

I should really read my posts over before sending them...that one barely made sense!
Ammonia and nitrite = 0 and nitrate 30.
There are 3 other fish at the moment 2 platys and a red tail shark...I know the red tail isnt ideal and so am moving him into a bigger tank as soon as i can but having said that my betta has been fine with all of them since they were added (2 weeks ago)and this problem of him in the corner has only come out over the last day.
