Hi all :good:

I am currently cycling a 20L tank, which will eventually be home to a lovely Betta. Just wanted to ask all you knowledgeable people out there, what would be a compatible tank mate/s for him. I know the tank is small so would really appreciate advice on this. In one of my LFS they have Bettas in community tanks with male Guppies?? The Bettas look really healthy and beautiful

Look forward to your replies

In a tank that size, thre isn't really anything else that you could put in there.
Bettas generally tend to fare better when kept on their own.
The tank would be too small for Guppies and there is every chance that your Betta would nip their fins.
Once you get your Betta, you'll realise that you don't need any other fish to go with him! ;)

hi, i have four harlequins two sparkling gouramis and small birstlenose plec in with my male crown tail, all been togther about five months now

ur lucky, not all bettas are that calm... or the gournamies,, they are in the same family sorta and sometimes they figh bad, traditionaly they arent keept togather because they usualy dont get alone though.

Just keep him by himself (if it is a he), and as Stang1 said, once you have your betta you probably won't want anything else with him.
