beta fighting fish

Can anyone help i have a fighter that is really beautiful but i have just read that you shouldnt put them with mollies is this right? In my tank i have neons, platies, and a mollie i also have a golden algae eater. Is this a good community set up?

What does the fighter eat? I feed flakes, pellets and algae wafers but i never actually see him eat.

first of all how big of a tank is it?
secondly do you have lots of plants/caves
they can go together, providing they are not in an overly crowded, or small tank, as they can both be territorial


regarding food, bettas can eat your tropical flakes but it is good for them to get blood worms now and then
even once a day

my bettas like the little betta bits foods, usually sold near teh bettas, and freezedried bloodworms.
