Getting them to breed should not be a problem. Just remember that once they've start, they won't stop just because you've run out of homes for them. Females can store sperm for about 7 batches, after you've removed the male. Then again, the good news is that a lot of them do eat their babies.
The tank should be big enough for the fish to move about in comfortably (at least 10-15 gallons), and there should be plants and ornaments for the females to hide in to get away from the male's unremitting attentions. A ratio of 2-3 females per male is required to keep the male from wearing them out. Do not put the pregnant female in a breeder net, but reserve the net for the babies- or let them hide in the plants.
