bit of help pls. wot is the best way to help get my guppys to start haveing babys.. iv got a good mix of them and i have a breeding tank... wich can hold about 3 fish....

Getting them to breed should not be a problem. Just remember that once they've start, they won't stop just because you've run out of homes for them. Females can store sperm for about 7 batches, after you've removed the male. Then again, the good news is that a lot of them do eat their babies.
The tank should be big enough for the fish to move about in comfortably (at least 10-15 gallons), and there should be plants and ornaments for the females to hide in to get away from the male's unremitting attentions. A ratio of 2-3 females per male is required to keep the male from wearing them out. Do not put the pregnant female in a breeder net, but reserve the net for the babies- or let them hide in the plants.

I introduced one male and one female to the tank about a month ago and now have 10+ fry!! They are good hiders compared to molly fry! xx

I raised guppies for years. If they don't want to get started take the male and put him alone for about a week. Then put him in with one or two females. Feed good foods and raise the temp to 80 degrees. (slowly) If that doesn't work you could try spawn aid. That worked with my mollies that were not cooperating. Just watch them though once he gets started he may pester 24/7. I have never known it to take much to get guppies going. I couldn't get mine to stop. Hope that helps. ;)
