Does anyone know any good UK websites that sell sand reasonably cheap, i dont want to spend a fortune on sand.

Argos play sand... £2.50 for about 15kg! can't go wrong with that!

It's generally best to buy sand locally from the LFS or from a home improvement store. Because it is so heavy, shipping is pretty expensive if you order online.

I'd agree with this. Sand is so cheap per pound and so heavy. Shipping costs will hurt.

Places to look are LFS, hardware, gardening, and pool supply stores. You can also get some more "exotic" stuff (at least from an aquarium standpoint) from flooring companies.
