What is the best way to feed vegtables to my fish and what veggies do they like? I have some new world cichlids and a betta and neons, seperate tanks....

I give mine cucumber. Thinish slice wieghed down with a bit of plant lead. Only takers though are my 3 Siamese Flying Foxes :kana:

I agree with doresy, many fish love cucumber. My angelfish likes lettuce. You can weigh them down with something like plant weights or buy those cute veggie clips from your LFS for like 50 cents that suction to the side. :)

I've tried just about everything that I have given to the rats, hamsters and the rabbit.

lettuce, peas, cucumber, kale, carrot (not such a good one), apple etc etc. (I gave up finding out what they like from websites and decided on the "try it an see" with a little bit of common sense. for example, i did not put the cat food in the fish tank. did put some of the left over turkey though, they loved it.

I went to tesco and bought a 98p pack of 4 forks. I impale any food onto the fork, tie a thread wih loops to a catch on the hood. drop it in, then later on, pull it out.

When I feed peas or sweetcorn (which are both consumed with great relish by my fish), I blanche them in boiling water for a few mintues, then remove the skins. I put the flesh through a garlic crusher so it comes out all nice and bitty, into the tank it goes and then straight into my fish!
I find the garlic crusher method is good since all the small bits float around so the smaller fish can get some before my barbs snap it all up.
