Whats the best way to add salt to the tank and make sure it desolves all first. The things I've tried is adding the salt to a cup and stiring it forever get most disolved but not all. I also tried putting in a cup and putting a air stone in for like 30 mins but that doesn't work very good the salt just sets at the bottom.

not to sure how big your tank is, but you can use a 2G milk jug, put it in there and shake, shake, shake it up. Maybe try keeping the air stone in for longer.
i just use a 3G bucket and a large cooking spoon (one of the big plastic ones) and stir it up a bunch. It's also best to let it sit for an hour before adding it to the tank. Give it a real good stir then add.
The milk jub will probably work the very best - easy to put the lid on and really shake it up. Im going to try that at my next water change, I just haven't been able to get an empty one at the house - the dogs use them as toys! HTH

to get salt to dissolve properly you need to heat the water up too.

get a big bucket of water, put an airpump and a heater in there, add salt gradually. it can take quite a while for it to dissolve

You also need to make sure the container you're mixing into is big enough. If you use a small container, the saltwater solution can become saturated, so it won't allow any more salt to dissolve into it. No matter how warm or agitated the water is it just can't take any more salt. Try using a bigger container!
