I've been waiting to post photos of my new little betta. I got him a week ago from the LFS.
Their bettas always looked awful before. Really bad shape and dying.
But the store seems to have straightened up their crappy treatment AND started to carry in different tail types and colors.
We had gone there the previous week and they had these BIG male plakit pure white bettas. They were gorgeous, but I waited.
The next week we went back, and I was set on grabbing on of the white ones. That was until my husband and I both saw my new little betta.
He was expensive, but totally worth it. Hubby bought him for me as an early Valentine's day present :)

Only one photo so far. The tank is covered in dust algae that I need to clean out tomorrow. I'll get more photos of him. No name yet.
He's def not a shy betta though. Barely showed any stress lines when we got him, and took to his new tank right away.
He's not shy at all and begs for food like a champ :D

He's a gorgeous colour, what tail type is he? I think it's worth paying extra for a fish that you really want.

I think he's either Super Delta or Half moon. He hasn't flared for me yet. He's always too busy begging or scouring the bottom of the tank for food.

More photos as promised :D
He didn't want to stay still after the water change.

he appears to be an SD-even without a full flare pic. lovely colors! He is a nice find with gorgeous finnage!
cheers

He's really pretty! I loved his color.
I think he's a half moon.
My fish does the same when I change the water.
;)

He looks like a Bi-colour MG (mustard gas) MG is copyrighted by the person who developed the strain. I have a vt with similar colour but I refer to him as a pineapple. Your fish is exquisite I just love him :hyper: Where I come from fish of that quality is very rare unless you spend a fortune hunting overseas and then all the hassells with quarantine. Im very envious ha ha ha.

The LFS had him listed as Halfmoon mustard gas.

I think he may be halfmoon as well, but like I said, I haven't seen him flare. I tried the mirror thing but he could've cared less about it. After he figured that I wasn't going to feed him, he swam away :p
It doesn't really matter though so long as he's happy and healthy in his tank.
