My plants do great but my pleco yanks them up from time to time.

P Paul_MTS MAD Joined Apr 15, 2004 Messages 5,818 Reaction score 1 Location Essex, Kirby Jan 16, 2005 #5 I'ved found that insand they produce must longer roots. i had amazon sword in 2 takes 1 with a fine gravel the other with sand. in gravel there was a good clump of roots but in the sand tank the swords were taller and the roots stretched about in about a 5inch diameter. and in the gravel tank i had amore lighting and co2 injection!! it's alot easier to plant in sand aswell.
