So whats really the best scavanger?

what will keep the bottom of the tank the cleanest?

Seems corys, shrimp, kuhli loaches, and even snails, and I am sure more.
So whats the best?

Depends on the individual tank, but going by whats in your sig....i would say cory are the best. Just make sure the substrate is either very fine grave or sand, so the cory's don't damage their barbles

:)l

I have gravel, but it doesnt have any sharpe edges, its the synthetic black gravel.

I have since added 6 serpea tetras, I will edit my sig.
All but 2 of the female guppies will be going to my buddy soon too.

I really like albina corys, but with the rams at the bottom too I am worried it could create problems.

Hi Jeff000 :)

If your tank's bottom is so dirty that you are thinking about getting a fish to clean it, cory are not the fish for you. Regular vacuuming with a siphon and careful feeding would be better.

Rams have been known to attack corys, so they might not be a good combination for you anyway.

cleaning is not my only motive. I just cant deside between kuhli's, cory's and shrimp.
With the rams near the bottom I dont want to add all three like i would without the rams.

While I know shrimp dont really add to the bioload they take up the space just the same.

but if rams attack corys then kuhli's might be the better choise, the rams wont bother them will they?
