In your opinion what is the best place to go online for tropical and marine fish? I haven't ordered anywhere else other than Trimar, and would like to know of other suppliers in the UK.

Never bought fish off the net, but buy supplies, i think aquatic warehouse it a good company, as they get the goods to me in two days.

I don't think there is many more that actually deliver trimar seems the best in terms of there site listing all they have and the costs, although it's not the best designed website, of all the threads like this I have only ever saw one more LFS mentionned and this was one where you had to ring up and ask for what you wanted and I'm not 100% sure that they deliver anywhere (think it was a LFS based somewhere in the south of the UK).

Hope this helps

But don't they only accept payment over the phone, where you have to give you card details?

Yes,

You have to ring them up and they take your details over the telephone. Not sure if this is to do with the laws regarding e-commerce and protection of your details being passed electronically.

I would never pass card information over the phone, its like handing a shop employee your card and letting them take it out of your sight, its stupid to do that. These days, you can never be too careful.

Support your lfs and get your fish from there. You have got some fantastic shops near you and you get to see what you are buying instead of recieving the first fish that swims into the net.

 Fantastic LFS in my area, you mean Newark? We have none whatsoever, all tanks in this town are plagued by disease, and selection is poor. None of our LFS stock or will order Corys. West Bridgeford is the only decent one in the my area (20 mins drive), but prices are expensive.

There is the new Maidenhead Aquatics in east bridgeford and they do good marines and trops even if they don't have as many tanks as some of there other stores. Wharf isn't amillion miles away and thats supposed to be one of the best shops in the country, personally however I am not a massive fan of the place seen better. But it depends on how far you find it acceptable to go I know to people who happily travel 100miles once twice a week to there favorite shop.

That is something I would never do, travelling in excess of 20-30 minutes to get to an aquatic store is stupid and pointless im my opinion - unless they have very rare fish in that can't be obtained in areas nearby. As for corys etc, it would be silly to travel that far.

East bridgeford would take around 40 minutes drive from Newark, and I dont think my family would justify travelling that far, its very rare for them to travel to west bridgeford garden centre, let alone elsewhere.

The best by far is yet to come.....

End of Feb

tropicalimports.co.uk doesn't work yet, this must mean the domain has expired or hasn't been purchased. How do you know about this upcoming site? Are you the owner or something? Do you know if they will send fish throughout the UK, and if they accept paypal etc?

The link does work... see Here

Are you the owner or something?
Yes, and me!
Do you know if they will send fish throughout the UK,

and if they accept paypal etc?

Sounds good, are you two business partners then? Do you have a shop based somewhere in the UK or are you soley working from the internet trade? :) Also, when will the link be up so we can watch your progress?
