Best Hang On Filter Brand?

I currently have a AquaOne external/canister filter for my 240L tank, the filter is good for tanks up to 500L, however, I wanted to get an extra HOB filter for the tank, just in case something goes wrong with the canister filter.

Plus, I think the fish will appreciate extra filtration anyway.

I was deciding between either Aquaclear (by Hagen) or Whisper (by Tetra).

I was wondering if anyone has used either of these brands for HOB filters with any success?

Any suggestions as to which one I should get?

I use the Penguin with the Bio-Wheel for both of my tanks, works perfect.

Having used both, go with the AC. I currently have 18 running ACs and two running whispers. the whispers are the JRs and were only bought caust they were dirt cheap. Love the ACs.
