My 120roma has been setup for a while and when i got it, it was setup to use a spray bar from 3/4 the length of the tank aiming forwards direct from the external filter, creating a slight surface current, the intake to the filter is at the bottom right of the tank.

I also run an airpump in a sparsely spread out wall directly behind all my plants at the rear, my water is always pretty clear, except odds and ends of dust/plant material/#105###.

Wouldnt it be better to either run the filter with no spray bar from left to right, or have a shorter spray bar from left to right?

My tank is quite planted but the floorplan has plants on wood, bogwood, rockery, a large patch of java moss all of which im thinking may stop a lot of these particles from actually getting to the filter, as in the spray bar is directing it to the front pane then down not from output to input.

or could i run a T junction and run 2 spray bars, 1 flowing to the front 1 flowing to the right.

any advice please.
