best filter

Mine seems to be dying out... What kind of filter do you guys recommend? I've heard good things about the Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel series, but is there anything out there that's better ?

I use an AquaClear Mini on my 7 gallon and an AC 150 on my 16 gallon. The nice thing about these units is that you are able to add multiple types of media in the media basket. I never have used the Penguin Bio-Wheel series but I have heard good things about them.

The art style of your signature reminds me of part of a mural (1 of 4 walls) by Diego Rivera called Detroit Industry (bottom right of pic) that's in The Detroit Institute of Arts.

i have a 20 gal tank with a peng. 170 always crystal clear!!! also havea 55 gal with 2 peng 330's again always crystal clear...there cheap, and i just rinse the artridges 2 times a month and replace them every cpl months. have had no prob...the 330's a;so have a removable media baskets (2 in ea.) to add more carbon or amo-carb. which is what i use. i wouldnt have anything else...but thats my opinion...GOOD LUCK!!!

wouldn't 170 be overkill?
