Best Filter For A 110 Litre Tank?

Well since I'm quite a novice when it comes to this aquarium malarky, what would you advise for a beginner?

Asking in the hardware section, for a start.

Fluval have historically sold lots and lots of units being middle of the market price-wise. I think they are one of the manufacturers to have a spotty record when it comes to reliability.

Eheim Eco is rumoured not to be made by Eheim. Eheim are however considered by many to be the "Rolls Royce" of filtration and I have one of their 2075s personally.

Like Eheim, JBL are German built and are gaining a good reputation. I've recently added an e1500 to my tank. Can't say it's as good as the 2075 but the accessories are slightly better.

The 2075s look like great bits of kit, but £170 is a bit too steep for me at the moment. I think I'll take a chance with the 305 and see how it performs.
Now I've just got to think where to put it?! My tank are on my kitchen worktop under some cupboards. I don't fancy drilling into the cupboards, so I might just put it on the floor next to the worktop. I'll post a pic so you can see what I mean.

Thanks,

Ryan

Eheim 2222. If you plan on overstocking get the 2224.

Hmmmm, I'm now stuck between the Fluval 305 and the Eheim 2224. Both are around the same price, similar specs. Are the 2224's as quiet as the 305's?

Are the 2224's as easy to set-up and use as the 305's?... Decisions, decisions...........
