i have 30 guppy fry and i have been asking around to see if any stores would buy them off my hands

they are now 8 days old

i told the guy at my lfs that i had 20 guppy fry *i actually have 30 but 10 males are going to my buddies all male tank*

he said he would be delighted to take them for a price of 30$


is this good? i mean i dont really care about price i more care about the store and cleanlyness of the tanks and they have very nice tanks

the owner of the store said he just got rid of his vendor after sending a bunch of guppy and platty fry that had ich


he has no tolerance his fish have to be the best and he will pay the best

in two weeks i go in an sell him my guppies

That's a good price. How old is he expecting them to be though? I don't know if he'll take them at 3 weeks, most want them at a substantial size with some coloring showing.

i think he said he likes to take them at 1 month

no idea why

but im not complaining *he has a seperate tank for growing fry*

Wish I had that. Petsupermarket doesn't accept fish even as donations, a lfs only excepts them as donations, and the other lfs said they will take them but didn't say how much.

The problem is that the stores won't take them at alll not even for in store credit.

i personally don't see why a lfs won't take a fish in... i mean sure the tank could be sick that they are getting it from... btu don't they use a quarentine tank? or don't they just throw in shipments of fish into a tank w/o first quarentining it? i don't know if my lfs will take them but i have heard lots of trouble tales about this.

personally $30 for 20 fry whether it be for cash or even store credit is an outstanding price to get. take advantage of htat while you can!!! they must be having probs with getting healthy fish or getting fish period from the dealer/breeder.

i have 100 cichlid fry and i doubt il get a deal that good...

I know what you mean kubora666, I had about 150 convict fry and my lfs took them for $.05 to $.10 depending on how big they were
