Best Condions For New Planted Tank

hi. im goin to order tomorow a JUWEL VISION 260 AQUARIUM. i was going to make my own tank but the glass was gonna be to expensive for the size i wanted so am a bit gutted. but anyway i still would like a new tank so am goin to order the juwel vision 260. the plants i have in my tank now ive had for about 3 mounths. one type is ok and growing nice but most of them have died off or have algy growing on them and holes in them. what will be the best way for this not to happend in the new tank. i put plant food in the one i have now and have a fresh water light which i was told will help the plants. ive herd stuff about this co2 system stuff but i dont no much about it realy. so any sugestions on how to keep my new tanks plants healthy and live long will be a great help
