Best Bio Media?

i think my tank is suffering from lack of bio media (aqueon filters don't come with bio media like aquaclears and fluvals)

What is the best bio media for buck?

I was thinking of fluval bio rings.

There are so many options. I use ceramics rings in the extra space in my Penguin 200s. Nearly anything can work. Even an extra sponge in the filter can provide extra bio filtration. The material itself doesn't provide the filtration, just the place for the bacteria to live. So, ANYTHING can work.


I'd go for whatever is cheapest for you.
