Well ive just looked at the algae and its brown but on the glass it looks identical but abit greener ? is this the "GReen spot algae?" if it is brown algea then i will get otos how many ? and also i heard bristlenoses are good ? maybe 1 bristlenose and 3 otos ?

i like ottos too fun to watch, briste plecs munch on everything

chinese something is gd for hair algae

ottos will probably get rid of the diatoms algae, ammano prefer hair algae you won`t get rid of the green spot algae nothing will eat it,

what else is in the tank?

i only have 3 ottos in my 60 gallon and they dp fine at keeping the diatoms down

female bristlenose (bn) grow to 4" and male bn's to 6" if i'm not mistaken.

Dont snails brred like anything i dont want millions!! and kill all my fish? i hate snails anyway lol but if there good then ya never know can you give me some more info on them please?

Nerite snails only breed in brackish water... but they can sometimes lay their eggs in freshwater ( though these do not hatch )...

I think I have that green spot algae forming. They are currently tiny dots of green. I was wondering why my BN wont eat it, now I know it must be removed with a razor blade. Hubby can do that.
