Hi all
My fishless cycle is complete and I have now added some fish: 9 malawi cichlids 3 different species at a ratio of 1 male and 2 females. I thought i would add some pics for you all to see my set up. Ok the fish names are in latin: labdichromis hongi, pseudotropheus acei and melanchromis johanni.I also have a catfish in with name syno dontis multipunctatus.

A question about the catfish: he never comes out and is hidden behind the rocks since i put him in yesterday; is that natural also what about feeding him i was told at the shop that he would just feed off of the flake food leftovers; is this correct??? Is there anyway i could get him to come out more?
best wishes

Hi i attached photos to this message but it doesnt seem to work, does anyone know how to do it??

To post photos, you need to upload them to a hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr and copy and paste the codes from there :good:

I look forward to seeing them; my mum keeps Malawis too :)

Follow this link for pics hopefully!!

Can anyone answer my question on the catfish as above who has become a recluse since i put him in??

If it's the same sydontis cat I'm thinking of, they hide all the time, at least mine do. The longer you have them, the more you will see them. I started dropping in some sinking pellets as close as I can to where he's hiding, and turn off the lights, he'll come out sooner or later.

great, thanks i thought something was wrong with him. how often do you send a pellet in?
