One of my platys has gotten really thin and has developed a bent spine, i've read these are symptoms of fish tb and that i should put the fish down, but i dont want to unless i know what it is. She is eating and is atm sitting in a bag ready to put into Qt with 2 neons but i dont want to risk the neons so i dont know what to do with her? She was in my coldwater tank and i know she shouldnt have been in cold water but i had no where else to put her and she was doing fine untill this, please help :sad: She also has a spot on her body, similar to white spot but only one and its larger than normal white spot

After getting a better look at her, she cant keep her balance when swimming and the white spot is sticking straight out from her body

Need a photo of the spot (better still if you can net her and feel the spot to see if it is hard or just a fungus). Is she eating and pooing normally. This was almost certainly brought on by being in a cold water tank.

awwh no :sad: shes in a heated tank now, for some reason i cant see the spot anymore, maybe it was something that fell off? she seems to be stuck permanantly in a U shape and she did eat a little bit but her poo is almost like a hair theres so little of it. Ill try and get a picture

edit; her scales look slightly pineconed aswell but maybe thats becuase of her position?

this is the best photos i could get off her, shes in a bag;

I don't think there's any hope for her. It would be better to put her out of her misery, she's obviously suffering a lot.

Clove oil to anaesthetise and then put into a cup of ice-water/ice mix. If you're brave then decapitation or crush the head by some means.

Are there other oils that could work just as well, we dont have any clove oil right now. I dont thing i could do that....could i anaesthetise and then put her in some water in the freezer or would that cause pain? :/
