beloved betta killed by satin spawn

im sick of ppl. critizing me about trying to euthanising my molly so im deleting this post.

sorry for your loss and all...but dont do that to the molly..just cause you saw him attack a platy doesn't mean it was him that killed your betta...you want my opinion..id say it was your gourami.

but the gouramis werent in there then. the molly killed a bunch before but stopped after his partner stopped. but when he died he started up again. the molly dosnt deserve 2 to live. i hope it dies but it never does so i guess im stuck w/it. and i really didnt stab it on purpose, just when i was trying 2 catch him.

why did you take your betta out? if your sigs correct it was in a 3 gal? thers no way a cichlid could live in a 3 gal.

wow, i'm sorry for the betta but you shouldn't take your anger out on your molly, even if he did kill the betta. if you don't want him, why not give him away. it just sounds very cruel what you're doing

the sigs right, i got another betta, but as i said before i put him in there

i know, it was in my brothers tank w/the molly because i didnt want them 2 kill my fish and my brothers fish was eaten so he thought it was the cichlid or the molly so he said that i had 2 take it back because he didnt want anymore of his fish to be killed. so i put the molly in there and i put the cichlid, hes really small, in the 3 gallon temporarely. so i didnt want the betta to stay w/the cichlid so i moved him 2 the community tank. so then the betta was killed and i saw the molly eating thge platty. i did take the gouramsi out though because i didnt want anything 2 hurt barry. so now theyer all in theyre right tanks.

1 angel
1 cichlid
1 bala
1 ID
2 big tetras

1 betta

9 guppy fry.

and its not cruel, its called eutheisium or whatever. the stabbing was an accident.
and noone wants the molly. i ask so many ppl. w/tanks and stores and they all say no.

my opinion- molly is just going by instinct, but if u really want her gone and you cant sell her or give her away, the best way is to cleanly slice her head off with a knife, ive heard this is not very painful becuase they die instantly but sooooooo sad

well i put him back in the tank and he was dead this morning. i guess the fish were just sick of being picked on. i bet he bit the gourami and he attacked him.

yeah you cant get mad at the molly for doing exactly what it is supposed to do. you should have given it away. not that theres anything you can do about it now, just dont act so quickly on your emotions next time.

if ur favorite fish were all killed by a fish, woulndt u try to put it down 2? every one of the tropical fish in the RIPs were killed by that molly.

ok, i wont get mad that the mollies kill. thats what theyre supposed to do, kill other fish.

you dont have to be a smartass too. no i would not react that way because i am able to control my emotions and know theres this thing called the food chain. there is always a possibility of fish eating other fish. you take that risk when you house them together.
you torturing the molly will not bring your fish back and the molly has no idea why you are torturing it.
that is probably more cruel than those betta bubble bags. so dont protest cruelty when yuo yourself practice it in worse forms.

actually...i've killed a fish cuz i got mad at it. this one type of fish scared the hell out of my betta by nipping it constantly, and it died.....then one of the killers died. this was still within the fishes waranty, and he was the only one left. i've read that they should be in groups of 5, and i said no way in hell am i gettin any more of these things. i figured it was gonna die anyway from being alone, and it didn't help that i had a grudge against the thing, so i killed it and got my maney back and bought a different type of nicer fish.

i would probably act the same way as WRS. and i would never want to give an evil fish to someone else, just so it can kill all of their fish to....now both mine AND their fish would be dead!

thats awful that you would kill a fish because it did what its instincts told it to do. thats certainly not something to be proud of either.

fish arent evil. people who kill fish are evil. also you could tell the person you give it to that it killed your fish and suggest they have a species tank with only that kind of fish in it.

so u honestly think that its compatablity problems? molly r supposed 2 be "peaceful". i control my emotions good, but when it kills 7 fish, thats it. and how is euthanisum tourture? many ppl. do it. and a molly isnt on the top of the food chain. i think u need 2 do some reading! and its not cruelty. i stabbed it by accident, and its not really stabbing because its not even a sharp object. its like hitting it trying to catch it. thats a mistake i bet many ppl. make.

and for that "fish arent evil. people who kill fish are evil." so next time a fish kills all the others ill just let it do that. ill be so nice and let it kill the rest. fish can be evil, mean whatever. ppl protecting the rest of the fish by killing/putting down a fish arent evil, theyre saving the rest of them. im sorry but im not going to let 1 fish harash, stress out and kill the rest of my fish. if u think thats horrible oh well. u just dont care about the others. i actually care about my other fish so i wont let the murder live w/the innocent ones. if u have a problem w/that, well that rediculous.
