Tank size: 10g
pH:8.0
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 5
tank temp: 27C

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Male betta, had pinholes in his fins noticed when first starting, have been treating with myaxzin and currently on day 4, the holes are getting bigger and the fins more ragged. The betta is eating healthily and still is himself. Top fin most ragged. Bottom fin had couple of pinholes that are now following the CT lines. Anal fin has one developing and couple small ones on smaller fins (sorry do not know technical terms). There was a bad algae problem which have been battling but seems much better now, took a plant out of his tank last week. The lamps are all normal. Currently treating myaxzin tomorrow is last day of treatment but really worried as it has gotten worst and not improved. Have finrot by interpret but use of this before with my bettas resulted in ill and stressed fish whereas myaxzin has worked before. Any help appreciated.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 30% once a week

Day four today much worst, though camera dead...

Holes in fins is bacterial finrot.
Any fish nipping at his fins.
Is the current to strong in the tank as that can damage fins.

Hey Wilder, thanks for replying. The current is hardly anything, its a HOB filter with adaptation to decrease the flow further. As to fin nipping there are 8 lamps in there, they have been in there for at least a month, once or twice seen a tug but that has been it, only on the ends never at the body of the fin. Worth me moving them for a while? Would you recommend still going with myaxzin (which ends tomorrow as fifth day) or moving all other residents and doing second treatment course myaxzin or interpret finrot? thanks for all help

I would move him.
The myxazin dosn't sound like its doing anything.
All I can suggest is anti internal bacteria med by interpet or esha 2000.
The interpet finrot med by interpet not that good in my opinion.
