I have resently got 6 tiger barbs .. after a month all was going good.. the smaller one of the group has sadly passed away .. but the others have now hidden away in a sunken boat and will not come out .. does anyone know if this is normal ? If so is there anything I can do ? Thanks

As a general observation Tiger Barbs should be kept in larger groups but we need the other info to try to identify if there are any potential problems first.

Yeah, that isn't normal behavior. Seagee has ya covered. Answering those questions will help us steer you in the right direction.

it is not normal behavior for tiger barbs..I have 9 tiger barbs in my 29 gallon tank and they hardly ever hide but are actively swimming all over the mid level of the tank. They are one of the more active types of barbs.
