Does anyone notice differences in behavior between different types of platies?
I have two blues. They never stop moving. They are a pair, male and female. The smaller male is very protective of the female and aggressive to anyone who comes into his zone. The male never leaves the females side. My golden twin-bars are content and school sometimes but can also be independent.
I have noticed an absolute lack of activity from red-wags.
What are your observations?
I am so happy that they are all so healthy looking. They all have there fins fully fanned. I can watch them for hours. :)

I have two red wagtails. And they are always on the go. Two of my very first fish they are so am rather attached to them. I have a blue marble and an orange aswell and they have very different bodyshape to the fantails. But they all school together, even the one surviving fry that is still rather tiny against them joins them now.
I only have the one male between them all and he has no trouble wooing them and, indeed, the two female endlers in the tank! :hey:
Hugs,
P.

What are your sexes on all the different colors? As that might have something to do with it. :)

And as a note, you should get at least another female for the blue Platies, if they are seperate. You need 2-3 females per male, otherwise the male will stress one female out, sometimes to the death. :/

But anyway, I personally haven't noticed much difference between colors. All eat a lot, and breed a lot. :p The only difference I have seen, is my Blues are slightly more aggressive. And if we go to tail and fin variations, my Hi-fins are a lot slower.
